Chunlin Xia

This artwork employs six transparent acrylic rods to form a classic tensegrity structure. Each acrylic rod remains physically separate from the others, with no direct contact between them. They are suspended and connected solely by fishing lines, which create a pure balance of tensile forces. From specific viewpoints, the network of isolated rods resolves into the distinct geometry of a Star of David. At its heart hangs a rainbow obsidian, whose iridescent surface and profound darkness evoke a miniature "black hole".
